Dr. Serhan Yağdı graduated from Izmir Bornova Anadolu High School in 1993. He received his medical degree from Ege University Faculty of Medicine and completed his residency in Orthopedics and Traumatology at Izmir Atatürk Training and Research Hospital between 2000-2005. After working as an Orthopedic Specialist at the same hospital between 2005-2010, he passed the Chief Residency exam and began working as a Chief Resident at Izmir Bozyaka Training and Research Hospital until 2015. During this time, he treated many athletes from various clubs such as Konak Municipality, Kayserispor, Göztepe, Altay, DSİ, and Karşıyaka. He is a member of the Turkish Orthopedics and Traumatology Association, the Turkey Sports Injuries Arthroscopy and Knee Surgery Association Izmir Branch Board, ESSKA (European Society of Sports Traumatology, Knee Surgery, and Arthroscopy), and the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). He is also a Trauma and Resuscitation Course Instructor for the Ministry of Health. He has given numerous oral and written presentations at domestic and international meetings, published articles in national and international journals, and written reviews and translations in various magazines and books. He has completed the basic, advanced, and master courses of Arbeitsgemeinschaft für Osteosynthesefragen (AO). He has conducted cadaver studies on upper and lower extremity trauma surgery with Prof. Dr. Simon Lambert at Graz University and on partial knee prostheses in Oxford Keble College and in Turkey. He has also participated in various courses and cadaver studies on arthroscopic and open treatment methods for knee joint meniscus, ligament, and cartilage damage, as well as on shoulder and ankle arthroscopy in domestic and international settings.
